Pastor David Zimmerman
President - Faith Baptist Church, Maricopa, AZ
Pastor Zimmerman was born in South Texas, but grew up in Southern California and Oklahoma. At the age of 13, he was invited to ride a bus to Sunday School. That Sunday, he heard the Gospel and shortly thereafter received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. Pastor Zimmerman met his wife, Terri, while attending college in Colorado. They have enjoyed 37 years of marriage together. They have three sons and seven grandchildren.
Pastor Zimmerman is a 1985 graduate of Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. He has served for four years as a missionary in Ghana, West Africa, nine years as assistant pastor at Bethel Baptist Church of Grapevine, Texas, and thirteen years as the senior pastor at Bible Baptist Church of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He also served as an adjunct professor at Heartland Baptist Bible College in Oklahoma City, teaching courses in the Bible and Theology departments. Finally, Pastor Zimmerman also received CLEET training to serve as a law enforcement chaplain. It was his privilege to work with the men and women of the Sapulpa Police Department in that capacity for eleven years.
Pastor Scott Naill
Vice President - First Baptist Bible Church, Glendale, AZ
Pastor Scott Naill was born in Tucson, Arizona, and raised in a Christian home in El Dorado, Kansas. He received Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour at the age of 7. After high school and junior college, he completed training in the field of Mortuary Science where he worked as a licensed funeral director and embalmer for 6 ½ years. It wasn’t until the spring of 1994, that the Lord called his family into the ministry. After graduating from BBC in 1997, he served an internship as Assistant Pastor in his hometown, and then moved to Wesley Chapel, FL, in 1999. Faith Baptist Church was organized in 2000, and he served as their only pastor for 16 years. In March of 2015, the Lord led the Naill family to uproot and move to Phoenix, AZ, and plant the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. After 1 1/2 years planting PVBC, the Lord led the new church plant to merge with First Baptist Bible Church and Pastor Naill officially became the new pastor on May 1st, 2018.
He and his wife, Dina, have been married for over 25 years, and have four wonderful children: Jacob, Jenna, Jeremiah, and Jack.
Pastor Joe Stoppelbein
Treasurer - Sonrise Baptist Church, Tucson, AZ
Pastor Joe was born and raised in Charleston, SC. By God’s grace, he put his faith and trust in Jesus Christ for salvation at the age of six years old. After graduating from high school, he enrolled in Army ROTC at the University of South Carolina. Upon graduating with a B.S. in Statistics in 1996, he was commissioned in the United States Army. While stationed at Ft. Huachuca, AZ, God called him into the ministry and after completing his four years of service in 2000, he surrendered his commission to go to Bible College.
Pastor Joe attended Desert Baptist Bible College in Gilbert, AZ, where he earned both his B.A. in Pastoral Theology and his M.A. in Theology. After his studies there, he accepted the call to Southwest Bible Baptist Church in Tucson, AZ in July of 2002. Shortly after (in 2004), the church’s name was changed to Sonrise Baptist Church.
Every year since that time, Sonrise Baptist Church has continued to progress in spiritual growth, souls attending, and supported missionaries. Pastor Joe has a heart for soulwinning, missions, and discipleship. Through God's abundant grace Sonrise Baptist Church will continue to grow for many years to come.
Pastor Joe is married to his wonderful wife Heather, and they have been blessed with six sons and two daughters.
Pastor Alfred King
Secretary - North Valley Baptist Church, Oro Valley, AZ
Pastor Alfred King grew up in the Tucson area and has long had a love for both the beauty of the Arizona desert as well as the people who have made it their home. After graduating high school, he moved to Oklahoma City, OK, where he attended the Heartland Baptist Bible College and graduated four years later with a BA in Biblical Studies. During his time in college he married Mrs. Shirley, also from the Tucson area. Shortly after his graduation, he went on staff at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Liberal, KS under the leadership of Pastor Bill Prater. After three years, he made preparations to establish the North Valley Baptist Church in Oro Valley, AZ, which was started in April of 2010. God has blessed Pastor King and Mrs. Shirley with five beautiful children, Kayla, Hayley, Ethan, Ashlynn, and Melody.
